Based on our research in maternal and child health, we have developed an innovative health and family care curriculum. We are currently implementing this program in 15 villages in Jinja City, Uganda.

Using an image-based approach to education, we have specifically targeted mothers who are illiterate. However, we teach the curriculum to all community members, including men.

Village Health Education

Sample pages from our visual curriculum, implemented in Jinja City, Uganda.

We have trained 45 local community health volunteers to teach the curriculum, and anticipate to reach 1000 households by November 2022.

We have partnered up with local governments, nonprofit organizations, and academic institutions in order to make this happen.
